Projects Abroad Care volunteer busy works with young boys in Ecuador

You have the opportunity to volunteer with Projects Abroad on our Care & Community High School Special project and spend two weeks living on the beautiful island of San Cristobal.

Learning English is vital for the children on the island and you will provide creative educational activities for them at one of the local kindergartens. You will assist the teachers and provide one-on-one attention to individual children.

You will also have the chance to make a direct impact on the community through this project. Working alongside other volunteers, you can contribute to community life through painting a classroom or helping with a beach clean-up initiative.

If you're interested in improving your Spanish, living on the Galapagos Islands provides you with a great opportunity to develop your skills with local people. Your patient and loving host family will be the best Spanish teachers you’ve ever had!

A weekend trip to a neighbouring island is included for all High School Special volunteers. This is an ideal way to see a really remote corner of this world-famous eco-system, learn about a unique island culture, relax and have fun with other volunteers.
