Your lessons will be tailored according to your skill level. During this time, you can focus on basic Spanish grammar and vocabulary, or work on your conversation together with your fellow group members.

Practice your Spanish by talking with locals while you explore Argentina

The most effective way to improve your Spanish is to surround yourself with Spanish speakers. Our Spanish Language Team Trip to Argentina is the perfect way to do this. We encourage you to speak to people you meet, and practice as much as possible with your host family.

When you find yourself a small local restaurant, order in Spanish, and try Cordoba’s specialty dish. After all, the best way to really absorb a new language is to actively use it!

Participate in group outings that explore the city and culture

With our local staff, you and your group will attend the best shopping locations, dance classes, and museums! You’ll also have the time to do some independent exploration, and find your own favorite local spots.

Where in Argentina will I study?

Our Spanish Language Team Trip to Argentina is based in Cordoba, a historic city with plenty to explore.

Cordoba is the second largest city in Cordoba, and is located in Central Argentina. Cordoba was once under the Spanish colonial rule, and many of its historical monuments reflect that. The Jesuit Block of the city has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With a history that dates back to 1573, there are plenty of historical locations for you and your group to discover.

You’ll attend your Spanish classes in our office in downtown Cordoba. There, you’ll get a language evaluation, orientation, and then classes based on your initial language skill level.

You’ll live in Cordoba with a fully vetted host family. There, you will be treated (and fed) like you are part of the family! Our in-country staff will be with you every step of the way as you get to know your surroundings. As soon as you get off your plane to Cordoba, until you are escorted to your departure flight, our staff will make sure that you can safely navigate the ins and outs of this historic city

Airport pickup, flights and visas

Volunteers on this project arrive at Córdoba International Airport (COR). A Projects Abroad staff member will be waiting to greet you when you arrive. You can find more detailed information on flights, arrival airports, orientation, and visas, on our Argentina Arrival Procedures page.

What is the goal of learning Spanish in Argentina?

The goal of this project is to help you learn Spanish while traveling and practicing your skills in a Spanish-speaking country.

Spanish is a widely spoken language, and absolutely invaluable if you want to travel to other Latin American countries and Spain in the future. Having this language skill will also be a great addition to your CV. Knowing a second language also helps you stand out in applications and interviews, and could help you discover more professional opportunities.

Learning a new language or improving your conversation skills becomes a lot easier if you learn with others and are able to surround yourself with native speakers. Since Spanish is the main language in Argentina, what better way to learn? So join us in Argentina soon!

Measuring our impact

Our projects work towards clear long-term goals, with specific annual objectives. Every volunteer and intern we send to these projects helps us work towards these goals, no matter how long they spend on our projects.

Every year we take a step back and look at how much progress we've made towards these goals. We put together a Global Impact Report, which documents our achievements. Find out more about the impact our global community of volunteers, interns and staff make, and read the latest report.
