Throughout it all, our full-time staff in Vietnam are on hand 24/7. If you have any concerns or questions, they’ll be there. Plus, they’ll be your guide, helping to ensure you get the most from your Vietnam adventure.

Hanoi

The capital city of Vietnam and second most populous, Hanoi, is located in the north of the country in the Red River Delta. Home to more than eight million people, Hanoi is a true blend of ancient tradition and modern influence. It has a subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters.

The famous old quarter dominates social media feeds, but the city is filled with incredible landmarks, including stunning lakes, museums, temples, and more. You will never run out of things to see!

Bui Mong Diep

Operations Manager

Passionate about social work and cultural exchange, Diep joined Projects Abroad in 2012 with a background in International Studies. She is fully committed to helping international participants make a meaningful difference, ensuring their time in Vietnam is secure, deeply fulfilling, and unforgettable.

 

Pham Minh An

Project Coordinator

A graduate of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam with a degree in English Language, she combines language expertise with experience in social work. Prior to joining Projects Abroad, she contributed to initiatives supporting vulnerable children and disadvantaged youth, while facilitating communication and understanding among people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences strengthened her commitment to inclusion, community engagement, and meaningful exchange. In her current role, she focuses on developing immersive volunteer experiences that promote mutual understanding and foster lasting connections between participants and local communities.

Nguyen Hai Le

Project Coordinator

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from Hanoi University and has supported international volunteer and education projects across Vietnam as an interpreter, volunteer coordinator, and photographer. Passionate about education and cultural exchange, “Hailey” also volunteered as an English teacher in India, helping underprivileged children build confidence and develop essential life skills. When she’s off the clock, Hailey enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, before reporting back to her feline supervisor.

Dao Khac Viet

Country Director

Viet has been part of Projects Abroad since 2014 with a background in International Community Health and holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from Ireland. Having studied and worked across Europe and Asia, including Norway, Germany, France, Nepal, China, and Thailand, he brings a global perspective and a deep appreciation for different cultures. Passionate about helping others and creating meaningful experiences, Viet is dedicated to supporting every volunteer in making a positive impact while having a safe, rewarding, and life-changing journey in Vietnam.
