Improve Literacy

Despite improving literacy levels, many kids in developing countries still struggle to keep up in class. This could be due to several reasons such as high student to teacher ratios, lack of teaching support or limited resources.

As an education volunteer abroad, you can help identify students who are falling behind and provide the additional classroom support they need to thrive.

As a volunteer, you can assist with the following:

  • Classroom support as an assistant to the teacher
  • Personalised lessons catered to the level of the children who are struggling
  • Plan educational activities that support literacy levels

Last year, our volunteers supported the education and development of over 14,000 children. Over 100 of those children took part in our focused literacy programmes and we only expect that number to grow with your help.
